Jessica Neuman Herschko was born and raised in Los Angeles by Eastern European immigrants. Surrounded early on by old-world textiles and art, she developed a strong creative sensibility. After earning a Political Science degree from Boston University and working for a nonprofit in NYC, she returned to L.A. and explored careers in wardrobe styling, film production, and jewelry design. Immersed in a community of artists, she gradually shifted her focus from drawing interiors to illustrating fashion and textiles. She now co-runs @observedbyus with longtime friend Kirsten Dunst, pursuing these passions in a more traditional form.
